On Saturday, April 11th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, the Greenacres community will come together for a morning full of fun, music, and COLOR at our Annual Greenacres Color Run Fundraiser!

What to expect:

• A vibrant Color Run with classmates and friends
• DJ dance party to keep the energy going
• Bagels & coffee to start the morning
• Tons of colorful fun and school spirit

Wear white, bring your biggest smile, and get ready to leave covered in color!

We will have 2 waves of races, and suggest coming at your grade’s scheduled time, however, all runners are welcome to come to whichever time works best for them!

9am to 10am: K-2nd grade 

10am to 11am: 3rd - 5th grade

Volunteer Opportunity

We’ll also need parents and any alumni Greenacres students to volunteer and help at the Color Tossing Stations along the run course. It’s a super fun job (and the best seat in the house to watch the action!). If you’re interested in helping, please email Lauren Goldman.

Q. What is the Color Run?
A. A fun loop around Greenacres Field, where runners are doused from head to toe in different-colored chalk at every zone. Participants wear white and finish the race plastered in color!

Q. Is the Color Powder Safe?
A. Yes! It's non-toxic, eco-friendly, FDA approved, food-grade, washable dye sourced from a very reputable company called PurColour, made in the USA.

Q. Who can participate in the Color Run?
A. Any past or current Greenacres students, parents, and siblings. Everyone 5 and over will need a ticket to participate. This is a family event and parents are highly encouraged to join in on the FUN!

Q. Will there be food?
A. Yes! We will have bagels and coffee, and an ice cream truck with treats available to purchase.

Q. How will I know when it’s my time to run?
A. We've set up two waves to let students in the same grade run together, but if you are busy during your wave, feel free to join the other one!

9am to 10am: K-2nd grade 

10am to 11am: 3rd - 5th grade

Parents and siblings will run in the same Wave as their child.

Q. What should I wear?
A. Runners should wear as much white as possible to get the full Color Run experience but everyone is encouraged to jazz it up with silly costumes, tutus, wigs, or crazy sunglasses! This is a FUN RUN! The chalk is washable, so feel free to go ALL OUT!
