PIZZA DOUGH PARTY (GRADES K-5) 

Have you ever thought about the many ways to use homemade dough? In this class we will create a Hawaiian pizza, garlic knots, funny face pizza and a margarita pizza. We will roll dough into small balls and make pizza bubbles. Stromboli and mini calzones are on the line up and a special chocolate chip dessert pizza. This class is for Pizza Fans!  Led by Kids Cookery. ($325)

 

BASKETBALL (GRADES K-2)

Students will participate in a variety of basketball based skills and drills as well as play modified basketball games in a fun, safe and supportive setting. Backyard Sports will teach specific skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. ($325)

 

HIP HOP BY INFINITE MOTION STUDIOS (GRADES K-2)

Celebrity dancer/choreographer, Mikey, teaches the fundamentals of dance through break dance, freestyle & fun choreography. This grooving class is a great way to elevate students’ confidence and self expression along with coordination. Mikey brings positive and fun energy to his class as if you were at your favorite concert.  His ability to create a safe non judgmental environment is the reason why his class is so popular. His goal is to celebrate each student’s unique dance abilities at the same time encouraging each student to be their authentic self through the culture of Hip-Hop. This program is brought to you by Infinite Motion Studios where every student is Infinite. ($325)

 

POSTERS & ZINES (GRADES K-2)

In Posters & Zines, artists dive into graphic design 101 by creating their own zines (DIY magazines) and posters. They'll use printmaking, collage, drawing, and painting methods to make some truly amazing finished products. Presented by Scribble Art. ($325)

 

MINECRAFT CLUB (GRADES 2-5)

Is your child crazy about Minecraft? Or interested in learning more about the smash video game hit? You might be surprised at how effective this world of crafting and design can be for teaching students complex coding and software concepts – while never once seeming like anything but good, old-fashioned fun! In iCAMP’s Minecraft Club for 2nd-5th graders, students will be introduced to concepts like sequential logic, circuitry, and basic coding, all while improving their 3D design skills and engaging in socioemotional learning. By the end of the course, students will learn how to use redstone to build circuitry in Minecraft and use the Minecraft Education Edition’s block-based coding language to learn concepts like conditionals, loops, and variables.  ($325)

 

DEBATE  CLUB (3-5)

Learn the art of persuasion! Students work in rotating groups and practice their debating

skills in a supportive environment, including developing arguments, issuing rebuttals,

providing examples, rebuilding their case and summarizing points of view.  

Students learn to think on their feet and enhance their public-speaking skills, gaining

self-confidence in the process. Led by Spark Business Academy. ($325)

GA LAB MORNING TYPING CLUB!  (GRADES 3-5)

Getting up and coming to school early can be fun if you are part of the GA Lab Typing Club! Typing is a skill that will help you in elementary, middle, high school and beyond. As your typing skills improve, you will be able to concentrate more on the meaning of what you are typing and you will finish your work more quickly! You will also develop your Digital Wellness as you create good posture habits while working at the computer. We will use Typing Club (many different lessons), Dance Mat, and KidsType to start!  Taught by GA Technology Teacher, Lynne Torrey.  ($375)

CAMP GAMES (GRADES 1-3)

Students will participate in a variety of summer camp style games like capture the flag, tag games, kickball, soccer, basketball, and relay races.  Led by Backyard Sports. ($375)

 

MINI MUSICAL: LION KING (GRADES K-2)

Introducing Artistree’s K-2nd Grade MINI MUSICAL CLASS! This semester, Artistree is proud to present a mini version of the beloved and well-known musical classic, LION KING! For this class, your child will learn songs, scenes, and dances, all of which will be showcased during a performance at the end of the semester onstage, complete with costume pieces and props! This class is perfect for exposing young performers to the process of putting on a musical production! ($375)

 

CODING CREATIONS: INTRO TO ROBOTICS & CODING (GRADES K-2)

Learning how to code is just the beginning – even for the youngest of engineers. In this coding and robotics course, students will first learn the basic concepts behind programming. Then, with the help of LEGO Spike Essential robotics kits, they’ll bring those concepts into the real world through mechanical creations of their own design. To begin, Coding Creations students will learn about loops, conditionals, events, and other coding concepts through unplugged lessons led by iCAMP instructors. Following these hands-on, group-based activities, students will then have a chance to manipulate their own code through age-appropriate coding platforms like Scratch Jr. and Code.org. Throughout the course, students will apply their newfound coding knowledge directly in lessons powered by Spike Essential kits. These LEGO kits give students the ability to build functioning robots and connect everything they’ve learned to a real world experience. Their robots will respond to the world around them, light up in dazzling displays, and bounce around the room at their command. With these tools, aspiring coders and engineers can experience the power of programming firsthand. ($375)

 

BUGS, BIRDS, BEASTS AND BEYOND (GRADES K-2)

Students will explore the natural world and its adaptations including observing creepy crawly bugs, making casts of animal tracks, and studying the feeding habits of owls as they dissect their lunch’s remains.  Some of the weekly topics in this session are: Bugs, Earthworks, Walloping Weather, Mission Nutrition, All about Animals, Life in the Sea, The Birds & the Beasts, Earth Awareness, Nature and The Science of Sport!  Taught by Mad Science.  ($375)

 

ART JUMBLE (GRADES K-2)

Push your child's creativity and open up their own unique ideas to collaborate and inspire one another. Students will use a wide variety of materials such as acrylic paints, water color, oil & chalk pastels, colored Pencils, paper, fabrics, clay, pipe cleaners, yarn, wood material and more. Projects will vary from week to week, driven by feedback from the group. Led by Honest Art. ($375)

 

LITTLE VETS (GRADES 1-3)

Join awesome doctors and nurses from Veterinary Emergency Group as they bring their real-life experience to Little Vets. Through a STEAM-based approach, kids won't just hear about what happens in the ER, they will experience it through hands-on experiences led by real veterinarians to provide a fun and age-appropriate introduction to emergency veterinary care. Each class will focus on a different topic ranging from physical exams to bones to blood and even surgery. Through real photos and videos, actual case studies from the hospital, hands-on activities, and exciting games, students will learn all about being an animal doctor from someone who does it (and loves it) every day. ($375)

 

SEW HAPPY LLAMA (GRADES 2-5)

Join Sew Happy in making this Llama Stuffie that includes a rug, blanket, leg warmers and key chain. Students will learn how to thread a needle, tie a knot, pin, and stitch with a trained instructor. Beginners are welcome at this class and experienced sewers will love working on a new project. ($375)

CHOPPED CULINARY GLOBAL FLAVORS  (GRADES K-5) *SOLD OUT*

Come spend the afternoon with Amy Rosen Cooking by Design.  Each class is all hands on and the students will learn how to follow a recipe, chop, measure and put a delicious dish together that they can take home and enjoy.  Amy Rosen is there to supervise and  assist in teaching students a variety of cooking skills.  ($350)

 

TENNIS, PICKLEBALL, & GOLF (GRADES 1-3)

Take the first swing with TGA! Learn and develop the fundamentals of three sports: golf, tennis and pickleball in our three-in-one sport session! Students practice and play one of the three sports each week while exploring academic concepts and life lessons. ($350)

 

SPACE TRAVEL ISLAND (K-2, 3-5)

Calling all adventure seekers for the ultimate journey to CHALLENGE ISLAND’S SPACE TRAVEL ISLAND! Take a STEAMTASTIC journey through the universe, visiting planets and galaxies, joining along with astronauts tackling space aliens and experience & engineer some out-of-this-world innovations. Challenge Island is a one-of-a-kind enrichment program on the cutting edge of STEAM education. Students visit ‘islands’ where they work together in STEAM TeamsTM brainstorming, creating, testing, learning and having a HUGE amount of fun! Each class is active, interactive, exciting and totally hands-on and encourages students to collaborate, communicate, think critically and build their creative skills. It’s screen-free and imagination powered fun! ($350)

 

MIXED ARTS (GRADES K-2)

Enjoy pottery painting, experience mosaics and make your own slime! Children will learn about different painting techniques while making their own personal mug or plate! Enjoy science facts while creating different slimes and decorate a picture frame with mosaic artwork! Presented by Plaster Palace ($350)

 

MAGIC WITH THE GREAT CHARLINI (GRADES K-2)

Have your child learn the amazing art of magic! Charles Hallock aka The Great Charlini has been performing and teaching magic for over twenty years. Your child will learn not just the secrets of magic tricks but how to perform these feats with confidence and passion. This is what “real magic” is about. Every class will focus on learning new magic effects but also on building the principles of what it takes to entertain and grow as a young performer. *Per Charlini’s request, enrollment is open to those who have not yet taken Magic.  ($350)

 

HANDS ON CLAY (GRADES 1-3)

Students will have fun learning hand-building techniques such as coil, pinch, and slab - and decorating with stamps, stencils, and more - in order to create their own finished pieces. Pinch pots, cups, plates, and animals are only a few of the possibilities! Students will always be encouraged to explore their own ideas and creativity.  Brought to you by Clay Art Center. ($350)

 

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING (GRADES 3-5)

If you’ve got a young artist in your life, iCAMP’s Graphic Design and Digital Storytelling course can give them the tools to bring their imagination to the big (and little) screen. Students will learn how to design their own emojis, work with Google to create their very own websites, and animate their own art with the help of software like Pixilart. Each new skill learned in this course will give your child a new outlet to express their creativity. Through storyboards, mood boards, animations, and more, your child will gain access to a whole new world of self expression and confidence in their artistic abilities. And, with a focus on using modern platforms and technology, they’ll leave with a knowledge base that will help open doors for a future in graphic design. ($350)

WINTER SWEETS & SAVORY (GRADES K-5) 

Do you love sweet and savory recipes? If so, then this class will satisfy your appetite. Each week the children will prepare a recipe and bring it home with baking instructions for all to enjoy.  We will make NY style pretzels, cinnamon rolls, creamy veggie dip, best chocolate cake,  cheesy broccoli tots and everyone’s favorite pizza bubbles. As we move into Spring and warmer days we will make lemon loaf cake, focaccia bread, hamantaschen cookies, happy face guacamole dip and refreshing corn salad. As always there will be many “pop up” recipes along the way! Led by Kids Cookery! ($375)

ULTIMATE MARTIAL ARTS & SELF DEFENSE PROGRAM (GRADES K-5)

Learn how to kick, jump, and move like a true Ninja in this amazing martial arts and self defense class with Instructor Melanie. In this exciting program your child will become both physically and mentally stronger, developing confidence, discipline, respect, and self-control.  Taught by a certified 3rd degree black belt with many years of teaching experience, your child will learn how to safely bully proof themselves with proper self defense techniques. In this awesome martial arts class there will be board breaking days where your child will learn striking & kicking techniques which they will use to break real wood boards!   ($375)

 

SPORTS & GAMES (GRADES K-5)

Students will participate in a wide range of P.E. style games and activities as well as modified sport games/tournaments. All sports and games will be developmentally appropriate for elementary aged children. Backyard Sports encourages all students to sign up, regardless of past experience, to participate and learn basic skills and techniques relative to the sports and games offered. ($375)

 

LEGO ENGINEERING EXPLORATION (GRADES K-2)

Take your child’s knack for building to another level with iCAMP’s LEGO Engineering Exploration course. In this class, students will use classic LEGO pieces to solve hands-on engineering challenges, like building and stress-testing a bridge, constructing storm-proof towers, and more! Instructors will lead your little engineers through engaging and instructive builds that focus on introducing and reinforcing the engineering design process for each student. Each lesson is also paired with a narrative, explaining the need and purpose behind the simple machines, structures, and tools that the children will construct with the LEGO set. ($375)

 

MOVIES, MUSIC AND DANCE (GRADES K-2)

Come join Steffi Nossen School of Dance for a fun dance class based on your child’s favorite movies! Is your child always singing the lyrics from the New Cinderella movie or dancing in your kitchen to the Greatest Showman music, if so this is the class for them. Spend the afternoon learning dances to the music of favorite movies and expressing themselves through song and dance. ($375)

 

FASHION CLUB (GRADES 3-5)

Unleash your child's passion for fashion in this exciting class! Students will experiment with a variety of ideas and essential elements, providing them with the tools to embark on their journey as budding fashion designers. The adventure begins with a focus on selecting vibrant colors, exploring various materials and textures that are currently on trend, resulting in the creation of personalized mood boards that reflect their unique concepts. Each student's individual mood board will serve as a guide as they bring their designs to life, crafting patterns, garments, and accessories, including bags, shoes, and jewelry, with the option to add a touch of sparkle for that extra flair. Building a solid foundation in fashion drawing techniques, students will gain a deeper understanding of expressing their distinct sense of style. As the semester unfolds, the culmination of their creativity will be showcased in a final portfolio of Fashion Designs, providing a platform for discussion and celebration.  Led by Honest Art. DIGITAL IMAGERY WITH PROCREATE (GRADES 3-5)

Creating art on the iPad can be a wonderful way to express yourself and share your visions with others. This afterschool club will explore Procreate using a stylus and your imagination. We will learn some of the tools, a few at a time, and then put them to use by creating illustrations, animations, infographics....advanced Procreate even allows you to turn drawings into an augmented reality experience. Join this club if you love iPads, digital drawing, painting and animating in bright and colorful ways! Taught by GA Technology Teacher, Lynne Torrey.

For over 2500 years chess has provided a fun learning experience for students of all ages and abilities. The National Scholastic Chess Foundation’s after-school enrichment programs are tailored to accommodate students of different strengths within the same class. With a balance of structured lessons and supervised play, students improve their ability to focus, to create and implement plans, and to adapt their thinking when circumstances change. Along the way, they are introduced to the game’s rich history, they learn to win and lose with grace, and to achieve their goals by persevering through adversity.  Chess instructors will assess and group the children according to skill level.   ($300)

 

FLOOR HOCKEY FRIDAYS (GRADES K-5)

Students will participate in a variety of hockey based skills and drills as well as play modified floor hockey games in a fun, safe, and supportive setting. Backyard Sports uses foam floor hockey sticks for safety and teaches hockey specific skills like stick handling, passing, and shooting on goal. Students will also play modified floor hockey games. Bring your favorite movies to life using LEGO® bricks in this creative building camp with Snapology! Let's bond over the movies we love like Harry Potter, Trolls, Star Wars, Ninjago, Pokemon, and more. Don't miss this super fun weekly program that's all about building LEGO® projects and using imagination while having fun with friends! ($300)

 

CRAYOLA® ARTIST’s PASSPORT (GRADES K-2) *CANCELLED*

Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure − explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make different masterpieces each week such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses, and more! This fun program helps students develop a global mindset and build international awareness early in life!  Explore cultural differences across countries, geography games, famous landmarks, world currencies, current global events, the role of international institutions like the UN, and more. Through interactive demonstrations and hands- on experiments, young space enthusiasts will construct and launch their rockets, applying newfound knowledge to achieve soaring success.
