🎈CELEBRATION BOOKS 🎈
Introducing a New PTA Library Celebration Initiative — Launching 2026!
Beginning in 2026, the PTA is proud to partner with the Greenacres Library and Bronx River Books to launch our Celebration Books Program. Families can honor a child’s birthday or special occasion by donating a book to our school library.
Each donated book includes a permanent, personalized bookplate recognizing the student and becomes part of the library collection for all to enjoy. For a $20 donation, families select a book from the library’s wish list, and the PTA will purchase it through our local bookstore and arrange delivery to the library. Each month’s celebration books will be displayed, and students have the first opportunity to check out their own book.
Celebration books may be purchased for any month in advance. April books must be ordered by March 14.
(limit one per student, per school year)
More FAQs are available HERE. Additional questions may be directed to PTA Library Chairs Christina Feist and Linda Zhou.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Our parent volunteers are the driving force of our PTA, helping to make new families feel welcomed, support students with many enrichment opportunities, and build community at Greenacres. Some programs we run include after-school clubs, multicultural and STEAM events, community service projects, and parent get-togethers. Without your help, none of this would be possible. Please consider volunteering for the 2025-2026 school year by filling out our volunteer form HERE. You can find a description of all of the PTA committees on our website.
Please feel free to reach out to Liza King if you have any questions about the time commitment or responsibilities of a particular committee. Thank you, and we look forward to working together in the year ahead!
